2024 was a year of uncertainty, difficulty, learning and extreme personal growth. If personal growth was a sport, I would have won gold. It was also the year I achieved something very dear to my heart and launched my first ever clothing collection, featuring prints that truly feel like an expression of who I am.
The result? Well, people bought them. People loved them. Others simply enjoyed the story unfolding. I am left feeling grateful, in awe, happy and with enough confidence to take me into 2025.
Here are my top 10 life lessons distilled into as few words as I could manage:
- Don’t be afraid to ask for help. You can’t figure out what you don’t know.
- People love your weird. Those who don’t are not worth the trouble
- Speaking your truth is the most liberating of all acts
- It’s okay to change. That’s what life is
- Listening to what you truly need and then acting accordingly is the ultimate self-care
- Change takes time. Baby steps are best to avoid overwhelm
- There really is no destination. Crafting your everyday is more important than big goals
- It’s okay to take time out. Constant growth isn’t how nature does it
- Being yourself encourages others to do the same. It’s an act of kindness
- We are nature. Equally wild & mundane, predictable & unpredictable
I'd love to know what your biggest life lessons of 2024 are!
In gratitude,
