I’ve been thinking a lot about photography and content lately…
How necessary it is.
And how much time it takes.

It’s a huge part of my week. And yes — it sells the clothes, so it matters.
But here’s the thing…
This is my Summer of Experimentation, and I’m really enjoying making things myself again. I want to keep doing that.
But to make it viable, it would mean more frequent, smaller garment drops.

And that would usually mean… waaaay more photoshoots.
And content.
And planning.
And organising.
And my brain goes 🫠
So, over the past couple of weeks I've been paused, thinking, clearing out and dreaming. Wondering how I can make it all work... And I realised something simple:
Maybe, I don’t have to do it the old way? Maybe not every drop needs a big fancy photoshoot and big launch?
What if I pretended I was back doing weekly markets, keep the new drops super small, keep the content unpolished real and raw, like its just you and me in the stall together - but do it online...
What if I try quicker, more casual photography and videography and just see how it goes? I'm already heading in that direction anyway...
and I'm thinking a customer would probably prefer better clothes over better content?

If it works, it might mean:
- more time designing
- more time sewing
- more small runs
- more choice for you
- less fluff
- less repetition for me
- less overproduction for the planet
You could order a style you love in different fabric options, made in your size.
I wouldn’t make the same thing a hundred times.
I’d still keep a core collection made because I can't sew it all — but the print-based pieces would be made in-house, by me, to order.

That idea makes me feel excited again. And that’s usually a good sign.
So, I’ve been rearranging the photography zone in my studio to improve the flow for quick, easy, natural-light shots (thank you skylight ☀️). It will be something I'll refine as I go.

I scoped the alleyways behind the studio for textured walls and simple backdrops for easy outdoor pics.

So, now then... on with the experiment.
✨ Tanks drop this week ✨
