Description

The Windowpane Top is one of my most worn and most requested styles.

This version is made in Dalee Ella prints, bringing a softer, more grounded feel to the structured shape.

The square neckline and central front panel create a clean line through the body, while the under-bust seam gently shapes without feeling restrictive.

Made from certified organic stretch cotton, it fits close to the body while still feeling comfortable to move in. Darts through the back help it sit smoothly, and the hip-length cut makes it easy to pair with both skirts and pants.

Main: 93% certified organic cotton, 7% spandex — fabric made in Melbourne.

Panel: 93% organic cotton sateen, with 7% stretch.
Using Dalee Ella original hand screen-printed fabric

Cold gentle machine or hand wash.
Line dry inside out or in shade.

Fit Advice

Generous sizing — err on a smaller size.

Fits best when worn close to the body.

If you're in between sizes, choose the smaller size.

Note for Windowpane top owners: In sizes 12 and up, I've raised the neckline by 2cm to stop any gapping when bending over.

From Dalee: This print is an ode to reciprocity and our interconnection to the living world.

Featuring marigolds as the central image, a very special flower to me. My recent trip back to India reminded me of the beauty in growing marigolds in our gardens to then offer back as gifts of reciprocity.

Their beautiful bright orange is known to be the colour of the highest enlightenment of the mind.

Marigolds are also an incredible companion plant in the vegie patch, offering protection to other plants from many pests and were also a favourite flower in my grandfathers garden. The smell bringing back memories of connection, family and childhood.

Looking through my windowpane

I love my collection of windowpane tops and especially the straw flannel flower as it looks fabulous with my swing skirt in the same Dalee Ella pattern.
Not only gorgeous together but incredibly comfortable to wear. I’ve already received some lovely comments.
I love Clare’s designs as they fit my body shape.

Windowpane top

I have been wearing windowpane tops for nearly a couple of decades. I love the way they fit so comfortably and they seem to elevate even the most simple of outfits. I was very excited to see that Clare has brought them back in the latest collection so of course I bought one 😄. And it won't be my last!

Night walk windowpane top

A beautifully made piece that will last for years. I bought my first window pane top at a market in Byron Bay many years ago and am still wearing it! Clare uses the best quality fabrics that stand up to repeated wash and wear. She also designs and shapes her clothing to flatter your curves. I cannot recommend her fashion highly enough.
